Rolf By Design is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Rolf and Beth Samulewicz. Rolf started his career in 1983, by going to welding school in Southern Florida, wanting to be a pipeline welder. However, one of his passions got in the way, automobile racing. In 1986, he got his first job in proffesional racing, working for Eletramotive Engineering Inc., which happened to be a factory Nissan Race Team. From there he worked for several race teams in Southern Ca. Finally, he was hired by a team in Northern Ca. in 1995. The team brought him to Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma,Ca. While in Sonoma, he met his wife Beth, and they have been there ever since. In 2000, Rolf and Beth decided that it was time to start their own business. The business started with a Mazada Miata car build and has been going ever since. Art has always been an important aspect of Rolf's life, which he integrated into his business. While attending Lee Vo-Tech, Rolf developed the logo and slogan for the welding school, an Eagle with the slogan "Freedom To Learn." He also made an 8' tall steel sculpture of the Eagle that is still there today at what is now known as High Tech Central in Fort Myer, Florida. Rolf has been transitioning into the art world for the past ten years, but continues to work on race cars at the Race Way. Beth is a central part of the business by bringing her business experience to the table, along with her great eye for what people like and want. Her input into Rolf's projects is what makes this team work so well together.
